How can we be thankful in all things? First Thessalonians 5:16 -18 tells us…“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks; for it is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
You might be thinking…Can that be true? Am I actually supposed to be joyful forever, pray continually, give thanks for everything, and trust that everything is all God’s will for me?

I am most thankful for the day I opened the door to His knocking, my relationship with Jesus, and the salvation of my soul.

In 1863, prominent magazine editor of her time, Sarah Josepha Hale wrote a letter urging President Abraham Lincoln to establish a national day of Thanksgiving and Praise.
